Sure You Wanna Quit Smoking?
Being ready to get off nicotine is an important step to success - you are more likely to quit and stay off cigarettes if you are motivated and have planned ahead.
To see where you're at and check your motivation, find out how ready you are to give those cigarettes up. Check off those statements that apply to you. The more statements you can identify with, the more "ready to quit" you are.

• My desire to stop smoking is strong and   my reasons for quitting are clear.
• Things are going fairly smoothly at   school/work and at home.
• I feel good. My energy is high and my   attitude is positive.
• I can schedule some time for myself over   the next few weeks if I need to cope with   withdrawal symptoms and spend time   focusing on quitting.
• I have people (family and friends) who will   support me while I quit.
• I am worried about my health.
• I want to better my appearance (better   breath, cleaner teeth).
• I do not like my smoking habit.
• Smoking is a negative factor in my life.
• I am tired of the way smoking makes me   feel.
• I want to quit smoking for my family/friends.
• I want to feel in control.
• I am not going through any major life   change.

Against overwhelming evidence that cigarette smoking causes many health problems and even death - more and more teenagers are starting to smoke.

The reasons for starting are endless. Many teens think they won't get addicted to nicotine and that smoking is a temporary thing - then they get hooked.

See how you can quit smoking in just four steps!
